Z toho chápem, že horúčka, ktorú spôsobila infekcia, nespôsobuje poškodenie mozgu. Poškodenie mozgu môže síce nastať pri telesnej teplote nad 42 st., tú zvýšenú teplotu ale nemá na svedomí infekcia, ale extrémné prostredie, napr. keď niekto zabudne v lete dieťa zavreté v aute na slnku.
