Vyzýváme k okamžité přípravě sankcí vůči vedení Ruské federace za porušování lidských práv v Sýrii z jeho strany. Důkazy shromážděné (nejen) organizací Amnesty International dokládající opakované těžké bombardování vykonávané armádou Ruské federace a zaměřené na civilní objekty a použití zakázané kazetové munice. Něco musí být učiněno k zastavení utrpení syrského civilního obyvatelstva v důsledku těžkého bombardování.

Hlavní síla Evropy je v její ekonomické síle. Vyzýváme Federicu Mogherini a další evropské lídry, aby připravily smysluplné ekonomické sankce směřující k zvýšení tlaku na zavedení skutečné příměří v Sýrii.

We call for the immediate start of the preparation of sanctions against the Russian Federation leadership due to their violation of humanitarian law in Syria. There is evidence gathered by Amnesty international and others of repetitive heavy bombardments uted by Russian Federation army and focused on civilian objects as well as of the use of banned cluster munitions. Something must be done to stop the suffering of the Syrian people caught in sieges and the horrors endured by refugees fleeing in the wake of heavy bombardments.

Europe’s main strength is its economic power. We call on Federica Mogherini and european leaders to prepare meaningful economic sanctions increasing the pressure for the introduction of a real ceasefire in Syria.
