Těhotenství a kojení
Chybí odpovídající studie. Vzhledem k možnému vasopresorickému účinku by během těhotenství a kojení nemělo být překročeno doporučené dávkování a používání přípravku by mělo být zváženo s ohledem na prospěšnost léčby.


SafeFetus

Studies on animals show adverse effect and toxicity on fetus. No adequate and well controlled studies done on pregnant women.
Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.


FDA Pregnancy Risk Categories : C

Sympathomimetic, alfa-adrenergic, vasoconstrictor used topically in nasal decongestant sprays.

Fetal Risk

No adequate human data, no teratogenic effect has been reported in first trimester exposure, but frequent, chronic doses late in pregnancy causes uterine vessels" constriction with subsequent fetal hypoxia, bradycardia and non reactive NST.
Recommended therapeutic doses has no risk to the fetus.

Breast Feeding

Problems have not been documented in humans.
